A Weeks Worth of Nonsense

I finally got my computer back!  Yea!  Thanks Scott for your great mind - and your ability to fix computers.
I would be lost without you.

I went out to dinner with a friend yesterday.  We went to Bar Italia.  We had a great time.  Dinner was good.  I think I enjoyed it more than Lisa (my pal) cause she paid!  Thanks Lisa

I went to a Networking function.  This was my first one.  It was interesting.  I met many great people.  Most of them were employeed.  Maybe somebody thought I was cute and will offer me a job.  Not likely.  I was painfully aware that I am not 30 any longer.  30 is the perfect age for a woman in business.  They are still young enough to be hip and cool - And still look great in that professional sleeveless dress.  25 is still to young, they haven't been around long enough to know the ropes, but 30 - that is the perfect age.  By the time you are 40 something, you are on your way down hill and most of us don't look great when we bare our upper arms.  They say that 50 is the new 30.  I hope so.  That would put me right at approaching cool and hip.  A girl can dream can't she?

Denim Dan took me out to dinner tonight.  I love that he takes me on dates.

T2 came over for dinner this week.  It was good to spend time with him and Oliver the pup.

I finished reading Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt.  If you have't read it yet, grab a copy and read it.  I will be posting the book group questions next week so get busy.  It is a fast read and a heartwarming, feel good story.  Goodness knows a feel good story is always welcome in my life.

The baby shower is this weekend.  I am looking forward to getting to T1's house.  He has lived there for over a month and I haven't been able to get there yet.  It is about 100 miles away so I can't just pop over, which I am sure was by his design, but we have had something going on every weekend since he moved.  I will post pictures next week of the shower.  I am so looking forward to it.

I finally got some bulbs planted at Dan's.  But I am afraid that the bunnies are going to eat the blooms.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to keep that from happening please let me know.

I am gathering recipes for Cinco de' Mayo - if you have a favorite mexican recipe you would like me to try send it to me and I will post if for everyone.
If anyone has a suggestion for a book to read that you want to share comments on - please just leave a comment or send me an email. I love comments on my blog.

Can you tell I would like to hear from you?  I am lonely here all alone in my own little computer world.

  2. Love the tid bit about 30 being the perfect age. So true. Yet, there is always that 40 year old in awesome shape that is hanging in there like a cougar! ha What I wouldn't give to be called a cougar, just once ha.
